There are a few skincare brand ranges I always go back to and L’Occitane Divine is one of them. I’m not sure if it is the packaging, smell, that it’s french, or maybe all of these, but this brand has won my heart. There are a few stand-out products so I will share them below:
Why is L’Occitane Divine So Special?
The main L’Occitane Divine creme contains the following. This is just a list of the effective key ingredients in this lovely formulation:
- Glycerin – Moisturiser
- Evening Primrose Oil – Emollient
- Dimethicone – Emollient (gives the cream its silky feel)
- Camelina Sativa Seed Oil
- Helichrysum Italicum Extract – an anti–inflammatory
- Borago Officinalis Seed Oil – emollient
- Myrtus Communis Oil – fragrance
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil – Fragrance, Antioxidant, Emollient
- Rosemary – Astringent, Plant extract
- Butylene Glycol – Moisturiser, Solvent
- Ethylhexylglycerin – Moisturiser
- Tocopheryl Acetate – Antioxidant, Moisturizer
- Linalool – Fragrance
- Limonene – Solvent, fragrance
Yes, it is $165… but the texture, smell and golden round pot with its luxurious gold lid, are all so enticing. You can give yourself a professional facial treatment, at home.
When I was first given a sample of this cream (either in store or in a magazine), I was so in love with its texture and smell. I got so many comments about my skin. There isn’t anything revolutionary about the formulation, but it is silky, smells great and is a great moisturiser. It is packed with loads of effective moisturisers, the emollients make it feel good and the fragrance is a fresh scent and doesn’t smell artificial.
This little pocket rocket is just as fine as the rest of the Divine range. The formula has been diluted and padded out with Caprylic/capric triglycerides (liquid coconut oil), so unlike other facial oils out there, this high–end moisturiser is anti–aging, smells like heaven and has a velvety finish.
Many users online use it on a cotton pad, like a toner, before the Creme Divine.
If you are looking for a gift (even for yourself) this set is going to make the recipient feel very special. Or if you are looking for something a teensy bit more “entry level”
Looking to try the mask? Or rather, looking to be made an addict of this range?
This eye creme is not a favourite for day time. It has an ingredient in it that added a film and visibly tightens the skin, but I have found if you apply makeup over it, the film comes off and makes the foundation uneven. I prefer a cream that absorbs into skin for the day time. I prefer the Immortelle eye creme for this reason.
I was planning on doing an entire brand review, but there are so many different products, I divided to just focus one I loved and have used recently. I’ll do the Cherry Blossom range soon as these are gorgeous…
