Improving Your Home's Presentability
We all have different standards for our decor, and that’s fine, but when it comes to selling your home, there are a few things you can do to make your home more presentable, and thus more saleable. Here are a few of the best:

We all like to think our homes look good, but when the time comes to sell, we may find that potential buyers don’t always agree!

We all have different standards for our decor, and that’s fine, but when it comes to selling your home, there are a few things you can do to make your home more presentable, and thus more saleable. Here are a few of the best:

Clear out the clutter

Yes, this is blindingly obvious, but if you want your home to look more presentable, the less clutter you have lying around the place the better. Decluttering is an art form that few of us do very well for various reasons, but if you’re struggling, reading a little Mari Kondo can really help you to get your stuff under control and your space looking even cleaner and…well more spacious than ever before. You won’t regret giving it a go.

Texture coating

Hiring professional texture coaters is a great way to improve the appearance of your home’s exterior, which is, after all, the first part of your home potential buyers will see, and thus the part of the home that will make or break their first impression of the place.

As well as using texture coating, you may also want to clean the windows and gutters, manicure the lawn and ensure that any plants and flowers in the garden are in good condition, the more attractive the exterior, the more potential buyers you will attract.

Light and airy

Making your home light and airy is a sure-fire way to make it appear more pleasing to the eye. You can do this by painting the walls in shades of white or cream, by replacing coloured bed linen with crisp white alternatives or by placing white rugs on the floor, to name but a few ways of lightening up the home.

Removing or painting dark furniture in lighter shades is also a really good way of making the home seem more spacious, clean and clear. Just make sure you don’t end up making the place seem too clinical by dotting around a few pops of colour in the form of flowers, throws and cushions and your home will look amazing.

Regrout tiles

Regrouting tiles in the kitchen and bathroom is a very simple way to instantly refresh those rooms and make them seem fresher and more presentable. It’s an easy job, so you could od it in an afternoon, and it will make a big difference.

Place fresh flowers

Placing fresh flowers in as many rooms as possible will add pops of colour, class and sophistication that will make your home feel like a really fabulous place to be. Not only that, but the property will smell divine too.

Fix things

Whether it’s tightening those lose kitchen cabinet handles or french polishing that scratch in the dinner table, fixing all of those little niggles in the home is a fast track to improving the place’s presentability and making it look as close to perfect as possible.

A presentable home is a desirable home, so what are you waiting for?
