Are you finding you have lost your sparkle lately? This could be due to you lacking in confidence and self esteem.

Are you finding you have lost your sparkle lately? This could be due to you lacking in confidence and self esteem. If this is the case then you could be on the hunt for ways to regain your lost confidence. There are numerous ways you can do this and the most important thing to remember is you are not alone. There are hundreds of other people also in the same boat as you, looking for ways to put the smile back on their face. Check out the article below to find out more.

Change Your Hair

One of the first things you could try to regain that confidence is changing your hair. If you are fed up and done with having constant bad hair days then it is time to hit the salon. Hairdressers can work magic and wonders on anyone’s hair, so why should yours be any different? If you know what you want then that’s great, however, if you don’t have any idea then they are also used to that. If you have long hair then you may wish to go for a short bob, something drastic can help you view yourself in a whole new light. You could also get highlights or even lowlights if you put your hair up regularly.

If you aren’t keen on leaving the house then you could have a mobile hairdresser come to your home. This is a popular option for those struggling with their confidence as facing people and the world just isn’t for them right now.

Consider Surgery

If you feel that you just aren’t able to make changes yourself then you always have the option to go under the knife. This is an extreme option and should never be taken lightly, always weigh up the pros and cons of this one. It might be that you have lost a lot of weight recently and have been left with saggy, excess skin. This shows your hard work and determination but you might dislike it immensely. If this is the case then you could book yourself in for a tummy tuck, any good surgeon will offer you a consultation to see if they are able to help you achieve the results you want.

Make sure you do your research, while going abroad for surgery can go well for some people. If something were to go seriously wrong then you may not be able to get yourself back home where you belong. First, check surgeons in your area and speak to them about payment plans if this is your main concern.

New Clothes

How about you hit the shops, either alone or with a group of your good friends. New clothes can really change the way you see yourself. You could have outgrown your current wardrobe, so buying new clothes can instantly lift your mood and put a smile on your face. Being out with mates is also great for your mental health, so that alone will work wonders.

If you aren’t sure how to dress your shape and size then you could look online for tips and tricks. Certain stores will also have personal assistants that know a thing or two about fashion, so speak to them about what sort of clothes will suit you.

Nails

Now, how are your nails looking? When you are struggling with your confidence and self esteem, your nails can be the first thing to go. If you bite your nails or your skin then your angst can become pretty obvious to those around you. The most important thing you can do for your nails is use nail cuticle oil, this will keep them nourished until you can find your sparkle once more.

If you are fed up with short, unsightly nails then you could head to your local nail bar. They will fix your hands right up so you are happy looking at them once again. Once they have grown out a bit then you could get BIAB, this is great for natural nails and won’t leave them brittle.

Speak To Someone

If you feel your issues are slightly deeper rooted then it might be worth seeking the help of a professional counselor or therapist. They are trained to listen to your issues and help you work a way around them, finding your light at the end of the tunnel. It can be tricky admitting that you need help, so the best thing to do is visit your doctor. They may be able to suggest who to see so that you are able to discuss and talk through your confidence problems.

Visit The Dentist

If you don’t like your smile when you look in the mirror then this can have a huge impact on your mental health and your confidence. However, if you visit the dentist regularly then they can help you achieve wonderful things with your teeth. Even if you don’t have the straightest of teeth then they could refer you to get braces, as an adult you will have to pay for these so bear that in mind. Finding a dentist you trust can be tricky, you don’t want to open your mouth for just anyone.

Make sure you ask for recommendations from friends or family if they have a dentist. You can also read reviews online to find a reputable one in your local area.

Practice Being Positive

Finally, this one might sound a little strange but if you stand in front of the mirror and practice being nice to yourself then you can begin to feel a lot better. Positivity can change the way your brain views yourself, so you begin to see what you are saying. For instance, if you constantly tell yourself you are a failure then you won’t have a smile on your face for very long. Change this to, I am facing difficulties but I am strong and you will soon be walking with that head held high.
