Berlei ad banned from Facebook – Why?

berlei ad banned from facebook

Well ladies, what do you think? Is this ad offensive, so offensive it was banned from Facebook? I related to many of these situations being bigger busted, and thought it was funny because it was true. Finally an ad that “gets” our girls. Facebook, you prude, there are much more offensive things to ban out there.

Feminist Subtext

Moreover it is very clever because it uses words such as oppressed, suppressed and pressured, which many women worldwide feel about life in general, to appeal to the inner feminist in us all. So why ban it? There are no nipples shown, but it does represent a reality for many women, especially with the underlying subtext of feminism.

Update: Berlei ad banned from Facebook and now Twitter

I posted this blog entry on Twitter and it was also censored as “sensitive” material. Sensitive because it matters, but not offensive.
