About Architect Alex Popov
Alex Popov, born in Shanghai to Russian parents, came to Australia aged twelve. He has truly left his mark on Australian artitecture.
He went to high school as Sydney’s Newington College and the University of Sydney and then studyied further in Denmark. Popov graduated in architecture from the Royal Danish Academy of Art in 1971. Working with luminaries such as Henning Larsen and Jørn Utzon (Sydney Opera House), he became a modernist master. Alex Popov Architects Pty Ltd (now known as Alex Popov & Associates) was born in 1983, became hugely successful, winning accolades and awards, creating magnificent contemporary home across Sydney and NSW.
