Product Review: Paula’s Secret Cosmetics for Ageless Beauty

Diane Penelope Kennedy Portrait

I’ve had a chance to play and I’ve done 2 full faces using the Paula’s Secrets range. Paula’s Secrets generously gave me a lovely kit of goodies to work with and there  are a few standouts that I adored. The illuminating Primer is amazing for mature skin, large pores and fine lines.  The All Day Foundation was great in texture and longevity through the day, apart from the colour match which I have with every range. I am very fair and very pink, so most foundations in light look peach on me so I need to blend, blend, blend. The lip liner in Nude and the eyeliner in Slate are absolutely gorgeous, full of pigment and soft with the grey I love and the Nude that goes with any lipstick shade.

I’ve included the video below because it says more than my words can:

My verdict

This range, or at least the prouct I have used, are great for a light makeup look. The blush and check colours are very soft so if you prefer a soft look these are great. The waterproof mascara again is a product that allows for clump free application, but does need a few coats. It’s good for women who don’t like to look like they are wearing a lot of makeup. You will need to powder the foundation and luminising cheek colours down or your face will melt or rub off. In this photo I loved the Slate eyeliner – the perfect neutral colour mature eye makeup look. The lip liner is the a holy grail product if you are looking for the ultiomate Nude. The Illuminating Primer is great, blurs fine lines and fills pores, and the foundation is a beautiful texture and finish, but due to the fact that I am so fair even the lightest shade was a little dark for me, so I needed to blend it down the my neck carefully.

Paula’s Secrets is available for gifts for the mature fashionista in your life – purchase online.

Please note that the phone and brush holder was developed by a year 12 student at Mosman High School, so you can watch a tuorial on your phone, while you apply makeup. The stand is available at the Aesthetic Studio Co on Etsy…
