Chanel - Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 Métiers d'Art

This is the full film of the Paris Cosmopolite 2016/17 Métiers d’Art show that took place on December 6th, 2016 at the Ritz Paris Hotel, where Coco Chanel. had a suite. A light and airy soundtrack: Rah Band’s “Clouds Across The Moon” helps to set the fresh mood. The Edwardian vibe is reflected with longer hemlines, shoulders. There is also a nod to the fifties with full skirts and stiletto court shoes. The collection consists of a simple palette of mainly black and ivory with splashes of red and colour for accents. Chanel’s core styling is present, boucle square jackets, camellia motifs, netting lace over the face, lace and bow details with the omnipresent gold jewellery and exquisite beaded details add opulence to luxurious design.

The models draw in the attendees with smiles, easy strides, high-fiving the guests and each other, making it an experience and not just a show. The models let their own personalities shine through being multi-dimensional and having fun, instead of the ubiquitous deadpan model walk.

Make up wise the lips are a fresh pink with the focus on skin and lips, white on eye lids with floral hair accessories.

Another stunning offering from the irrepressible Karl Lagerfeld maintaining the Coco Chanel legacy whilst still keeping it fresh and new season to season.
