A healthy lifestyle is easier than ever to come by thanks to the gluttony of information that is available to us. A quick glance at Google will give you hundreds of results on how to make changes to your routine to become healthier. However, some of them can lead you astray and into ideas of fad diets or products. So with that in mind, we are going to get to basics and take a look at some of the ways you can lead a healthier life.
Exercise
There are many reasons that exercise is ideal for leading a healthy lifestyle, not least of all because it can help you control your weight regardless of if you want to gain or lose the pounds. Finding the right routine that works for you should be your goal when considering exercise and here are three things to consider:
Where?
Most people have three options for where to take part in their exercise routine. The gym, at home and outside. What you choose is dependent on what motivates you and how comfortable you feel. Don’t force yourself into an environment that you find mentally draining and also don’t allow yourself to be surrounded by distractions.
What?
There are many exercises that you can do but they mostly fall into the camps of aerobic and strength. For the former, you will be looking at activities like running, cycling and rowing. Whereas the latter tends to focus on weights and body resistance. A good combination of the two is high intensity yoga.
How Often?
Medical science says that we should all be doing aerobic exercise for a minimum of 150 minutes per week and strength exercise three times a week. That means you can spread your workout over an hour
Diet
What you put in your body is fuelling you and the nutrients within are being used to power things like your immune system and brain. There are many diets out there that will claim to be the best for you, but the most important thing is to ensure you are getting the following six essential nutritional food groups into your diet:
- Carbohydrates
- Fats
- Protein
- Vitamins
- Minerals
- Water
These six coupled with the previously discussed exercise routines will make sure you are living a healthy lifestyle.
Mental Health
Something that more of us are starting to be aware of is the role mental health plays in all of our lives. It might be something you have lived with or it could suddenly interrupt your life. However, both of the topics discussed above are helpful in improving your mental state and that is why there were selected to be discussed, to focus on both physical and mental health. There are, of course, other options like using an ardent nova 220V to activate herbs that help your general health as well that you might want to explore. The idea should always be to find something works for you and make it part of your health routine.
Cleansing Your System
Even when your diet and exercise are fairly well balanced, sometimes you’ll find that your efforts hit a rut and before you know it, you’re in a plateau. This can be extremely demoralising, especially when you feel that you’re doing everything right and following all the rules, and yet still not seeing the progress you want.
Sometimes the answer when this occurs is to look at doing a system cleanse. This allows your body and your digestive system to have a proper break, and can also trigger your metabolism to get moving again. There are a couple of different ways to approach this. Some people like to get really strict and follow a juice cleanse for a couple of days to completely give their system a break from processing solid foods.
Others like to try some form of intermittent fasting plan, such as the Fast 800 or the 16:8 plan, which can be fairly easy to stick to. Still others prefer a more structured approach, using products such as those from IsaTonic to kick start their bodies. Using a nutritional cleanse is a way to lose weight safely and with long-lasting results, as well as building lean muscle mass, increasing energy levels and improving your overall health. When used in conjunction with a healthy nutrition plan and a regular workout regimen, it’s the best way to manage your weight and your health for great results.
