Getting the right business aesthetic can be a long and challenging process, but with a little time and care, you can have your business beaming.
Colour Palette
Think about your colour schemes in detail. The colours you choose will have a psychological impact on your potential clients. For example, pink implies, femininity, love, calmness, innocence and optimism. There are both positive and negative aspects of all colour palettes, so go with the one that you feel suits you and your brand best.
Branding and Stock Images
Source your stock images carefully. Often it can be beneficial to source plenty of stock images that match your colour scheme. These can be used in your blog posts, on your social media content and as eye-catching images on your website. Use sites that supply images with a CC0 license. That code means you can use the photos however and where ever you like. By ensuring you have CC0 images, it avoids the possible issue of using pictures without permission or hiring a costly photographer to have your own taken.
Logo Loving
Make your logo bright and exciting, but not too complicated. Your logo is a big part of your business and branding; it will be on all of your social media, business communications, adverts and ideally you want people to recognise your logo with your brand message. Get a group of friends together to talk about what makes some logos enticing and memorable, what is it about specific brands that keep people going back? Use that feedback to ensure your taglines and logos speak to your customer on a personal level.
Business Vision Board
Create a brand board or vision board, with your chosen colours, fonts, place some images to give a visual. Use this as a starting point to get some document automation on the go. Documentation automation is merely the implementation of a single set of templates for everything branded in your business. No matter who you hire, or where you work you will have consistency with minimal effort.
Work on your workplace.
If you are working from home, take a look at the space around you. Is it a calm, productive space or is it messy and cluttered? Pick up some small easy to take care of plants, look for folders and storage for any of your loose papers. Pinboards for notes and images that inspire you. Make the space clean, welcoming and happy. You will produce your most excellent work in an area that feels designed for working in. If you want to be extra jazzy, make your workspace match your branding.
Pretty Social Media
If you’re social, make your social media pretty too. It goes without saying that your social media should all be on brand, but sometimes we don’t take the time to make sure each display picture and cover is designed for each platform. If you are guilty of using a cropped or stretched image, spend the time to neaten it up and get the correct sizes.
Giving your business a facelift doesn’t have to be too complicated, it takes a little time, care and thought.
