I decided to write this piece because I was neglecting my routine, and decided that I needed to develop an at-home isolation facial for myself and hopefully my readers. My regular go-to beauty wasn’t inspiring or motivating me. I was just getting up, grabbing my laptop reading the news then starting work…still in my “night time” loungewear (also known as pyjamas). If I had a work conference, I threw on a fancy top, pulled my hair into a chignon (with a scrunchy) and hastily applied lipstick.
Back story to developing the ultimate at-home facial guide
Getting motivated for self-care in general
Realising that the work-at-home situation was probably going to last more than a few weeks, I decided to inspire myself by writing an article, designed to motivate other women (and some men) to make time for beauty. It seems frivolous during a pandemic, but I find if I take care of my beauty routine, I also take care of the rest of myself. I wrote an at-home fitness article which started me on the path to getting stronger and more svelte. That article made me sign up for Tammy Fit app (Tammy Hembrow’s fitness app which is amazing) and I even bought new leggings, the ultimate garment to inspire neighbourhood walks, for me anyway. I’ve also stopped the chocolate-wine- -butter-brie-Harris-Farm-yoghurt-all-you-can-eat -diet, which is probably a good thing.
I find that when I write about something, it has a positive impact on my life, so I am hoping that reading this will give you lasses out there who are neglecting their skin, the push you need to emerge from isolation with gorgeous skin.
Preparing for your at-home isolation facial
I like to replicate a salon experience, so I find myself a clean bathrobe (you might need to give it a wash, I certainly had to, my robe was rank after a week wearing it in place of a work cardigan or coat and last night’s dinner stains aren’t very luxurious). You may also want to give the bathroom a clean and make the bed, so you can relax without getting distracted by chores you feel guilty for not doing:
- Clean fluffy bathrobe
- Fluffy clean towels
- Headband
- Makeup remover pads
- Any skincare cleansing device you may own (I have a Foreo Luna Mini – it’s a face vibrator essentially and I think it vibrates the dirt off)
- Clean face washers
- A relaxing candle – I am lucky enough to have the MooGoo Vanilla Cream candle at the moment
- Skincare products (I will list these below)
- A relaxing playlist on Spotify, reality TV from Hayu or if you love something more highbrow, head for Netflix.
Cleansing
I’m suggesting a two-phase cleansing routine of a Cleansing Oil, followed by a surfactant-based cleansing wash, which removes the excess oil. The oil-based cleansing step helps to remove makeup and gentle prepare skin.
Cleansing Phase 1 – Oil Based Luxury Option
Ella Bache Botanical Cleansing Oil
Pour a generous amount into your palms and warm by pressing your palms together for a bit. Gentle massage your face. Wet your hands and massage your face again to emulsify the oil on the surface. Remove with your warm moist washer.
The Ella Bache Botanical Cleansing Oil $69 for 200ml is such a beautiful product to use, the smell and the texture are so luxurious to use, it smells like you are in a luxurious day spa.
Cleansing Phase 1 – Oil-Based Affordable, High Quality Option
MooGoo Oil Cleansing Method
This non-foaming, non-clogging, oil-based face cleanser from MooGoo is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive. The formulation is a combination of “drawing” oils that work to dissolve dirt and oil deep in your pores. This silky texture will cleanse without stripping your skin of natural oils. If you get pimples, have dry skin or you want to remove makeup or sunscreen, then the MooGoo Oil Cleansing Method $24.90 will suit your down to the ground. Coincidentally my mum, who gets psoriasis, swears by the stuff. And for those of you avoiding synthetic preservatives like Phenoxyethanol or Parabens, MooGoo is your best-friend.
Cleansing Phase 2 – Rodan+Fields Option
Redefine Daily Cleansing Mask
Gently draw impurities from the skin and leave it feeling and looking younger with REDEFINE™ Daily Cleansing Mask.
Cleansing Phase 2 – Surfactant-Based: K-Beauty Option
If you haven’t tried K-Beauty, you are in for a treat. South Korean beauty offers some of the most advanced skincare on the planet, and Korean women take skincare very seriously. I was brought up on the 3 step cleanse tone and moisturise from the age of 8, and I’ve always credited that for my good skin, but the Koreans have a 10 step beauty routine. It can be easy to get confused. I’ve added them into this rundown of products to choose from at each stage of your at-home facial, so clearer. I get my K-Beauty products from Style Story.
d’Alba Piedmont Peptide No Sebum Mild Gel Cleanser
The d’Alba Piedmont Peptide No Sebum Mild Gel Cleanser $48.95 works beautifully with the Foreo Luna, but you can also use the MooGoo silicone cleansing heart that comes in the MooGoo Anti-Ageing Gift Pack (see below).
d’Alba peptide cleanser reaches deep into the skin and clears excess sebum and blackheads with a powerful blend of BHAs. The star ingredient is white truffle, which works to speed up cell renewal, shedding away dead skin cells and revealing newer ones for fresher and younger-looking skin.
Apply this to your fingertips, onto cleansing brush or pad, to clean pores, balance oil and will leave your skin soft and ready for the next steps in your at-home isolation facial. d’Alba’s signature ingredients are white truffle sourced from Italy, which is said to stimulate cell renewal and reveal bright, new skin. It sounds luxurious, not sure how much impact it has upon cleansing, but I’ll take it.
Cleansing Phase 2 – Surfactant: Affordable, High-Quality Option
MooGoo Natural Milk Wash
MooGoo Milk Wash $6.50 is a creamy, soft, low-irritant, cleansing formulation designed for both the face and the body. With a mix of coconut and glucose-based cleansers, Milk Wash is free from harsh detergents (SLS) that some people find irritating. With the same score as water this product is OK for even the most sensitive skin. MooGoo uses a phthalate-free fragrant oil so it smells lovely.
Exfoliation
Compounding Chemist Option
Elixir Lactic Cleanser
I discovered his range recently, developed by lead compounding chemist, and cosmeceutical specialist Jamie Leong. The range is science-based, with effective quantities of the powerful, proven ingredient that all good skincare has, but he also sources the active ingredients from the most reputable of sources. A lot of ranges, that contain the right ingredients, source these ingredients from countries offering impossibly cheap prices. The cost to the consumer is lower, and it looks like the same product, but the efficacy is just not the same. I hate to be a downer, but I tried The Ordinary, which is a low-cost skincare range, and frankly, it was ordinary. I wanted to like it, I wanted there to be a low cost-effective skincare range, but I saw no difference in the texture of my skin and frankly, it felt like I was putting silicone and glycerine on my face. Nothing more.
I was very excited when I discovered Elixir because, with ingredients, you get what you pay for, and in the right combination. The first product I tried was the Elixir Lactic Cleanser $44.95. It has green tea, cucumber oil (to cool and refresh skin), jojoba beads to gently exfoliate surface dead skin, as well as lashings of lactic acid, which is a gentle alpha hydrating acid (AHA) to lightly exfoliate dead skin.
It leaves skin slightly moisturised, but clean, and use over time is effective. It’s hard to tell, especially when I use it with other products from the range, but my impression is that it is a well-formulated exfoliator. It is recommended that you use this cleanser 3 days a week and use a regular cleanser the other days.
Toner
I’ve always loved using a toner. It makes my skin feel fresh. Many people skip this step, but as I mentioned earlier, I’ve had the “cleanse-tone-moisturise” mantra drilled into my psyche since I was a child, so I feel like I haven’t done the job, if I skip this step.
Toner – K-Beauty Option
d’Alba Piedmont Peptide No Sebum Balancing Toner
d’Alba blends European and Korean skincare styles in a skincare range that is a sensory joy to use. The toner is luxurious, infused with white truffles (as is the rest of the range to create “gourmet skincare”. It’s actually tricky to find a quality toner, that is soothing and removes any last traces of cleanser, and this one leaves skin with a silky finish and is one of my favourite products in the d’Alba range. Use with a makeup remover pad after fully cleansing to prepare your skin for the next step.
Toner: R+F Option
Redefine Pore Minimizing Toner
Gently exfoliate and minimise the appearance of enlarged pores with REDEFINE™ Pore Minimizing Toner.
Masks
Mask/Exfoliation: Affordable High-Quality Option
MooGoo Gentle Exfoliating Powder
You’ll find the MooGoo Gentle Exfoliating Powder $19.50 a little messy, but it is effective as a very mild exfoliant, with plant-based salicylic acid, marshmallow root which soothes the skin, and the base is made up of rice bran that acts as a scrub and bentonite clay to draw out excess oils. This is definitely gentle enough to use daily, especially if you have oily skin. As I love the ritual of a facial this adds an interesting way to play with skincare. You can feel it working if that makes sense.
Mask/Exfoliation: Boutique Anti-Ageing Skincare Option
[QED] Skincare 5 Minute Facial Hydrate + Firm Clay Mask
If you are super busy or you get impatient waiting for masks, [QED] Skincare 5 Minute Facial Clay Mask will give you an instant glow. Jojoba beads (again) will gently lift any remaining dead skin cells, prepping your skin for the clay and rose to gently draw out impurities.
While the mask sets, the bentonite clay absorbs the excess oil and also allows penetration of the evening primrose oil and vitamin E to absorb into the skin. Again, it’s a little messy, but aren’t most decent masks and isn’t that half the fun? My skin felt luscious afterwards. There is also the No-Rinse Cleanser for Mature Skin, that you apply, then wipe off. I prefer a rinsing cleanser, but this is a good option for the morning if you are in a rush to get out the door. The package arrived and inspired me from the moment I saw the box saying “get ready to be obsessed”. Being skincare obsessive, this made my morning.
Serious Serums
Now, this is where we get down to the business end of the at-home isolation facial. Serums contain intensive ingredients that absorb into the skin, delivering nutrition goodness to the skin. These nutrients include hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, glycolic acid, niacinamide and a host of other skin-improving ingredients.
Why use a serum and not just moisturiser?
I used to ask this, but I’ve changed my tune since reading up on serums and the benefits and seeing the results for myself. Serums and moisturisers have several fundamental differences in how they work. A moisturiser adds a layer between you and the outside world, protecting skin from moisture loss. Serums, on the other hand, penetrate the skin, delivering key ingredients directly. Without the thickening agents and emollients of moisturisers, serums are thinner and have high concentrations of the good stuff, so a serum or a couple of serums before your add your moisturiser will see a dramatic improvement in plumpness, texture and clarity of the skin.
Serum: Luxury High Efficacy Options
Ella Bache Eternal+ Sculpting Serum
As will all the Ella Bache products, the Eternal+ Sculpting Serum $119 is a powerful part of your skincare routine. The formulation is light, so it is easily absorbed, designed to tone, lift and firm. Containing red algae sulfo-carrabioses to enhance contours, branched oat sugars for toning and amino acids to the firm, the effect can be seen after just a few applications.
Ella Bache Collagen+ Treatment Oil
While not strictly a serum, this treatment oil, made from 100% natural and pure active oils, is a top-shelf, intensive botanical skin treatment oil. I cannot come close to describing how stunning this product smells, I think it might be Ylang Ylang? Not sure, but I love using this at night, although you can use it in the evening or during the day. Ella Bache Collagen+ Treatment Oil $79 leaves your skin feeling fresh plump and dewy. Australian native hemp seed and Kakadu plum seed oil act as a barrier for the skin, as well as moisturising, plumping and revitalising. There is also lupinus seed extract which is said to improve skin elasticity. Finally, propolis ubiquinone and rosemary leaf extract help with wrinkles and skin lifting to improve collagen synthesis.
Serum: Compounding Chemist Formulation Option
Elixir Reviving Niacinamide 15% Serum
A little bit of Elixir Niacinamide 15% Serum $54.95 goes a long way. You only need a drop of this thin texture, which goes on slippery then sets to a firming film over the skin. You only need a pea-sized drop and dot on the face. The smell is fresh and a bit citrusy. Niacinamide (aka vitamin B3) normalises oil production to keep pores clear and prevent breakouts, helps fade hyperpigmentation, calms rosiness as it is anti-inflammatory properties, protects from free-radical damage as well as hydrating the skin. And who doesn’t want that in their skin routine? Anyone can use it, regardless of skin type, age or condition.
Also important to note that as well as being great as an anti-ageing treatment, this product is great for blemished and pimple-prone skin.
Elixir Hyaluronic Acid + B5
Elixir’s Hyaluronic Acid + B5 $59.95 is a lightweight, oil-free serum for a healthy boost of moisture. As with the Niacinamide serum, you only need the tiniest drop, as it spreads well and leaves skin feeling dewy. with a soft, subtle fragrance.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is naturally found in the skin, and it used for injectables because of its water-holding abilities, holding up to 1,000 times its weight in water. This aids in keeping the skin hydrated and plump. Hyaluronic acid has been proven to fight free radicals, assists in the production of collagen, maintain skin elasticity and even has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help with wound healing. It also improves the efficacy of other skincare products, assisting with the uptake of other nutrients.
Pro-vitamin B5 (D-Panthenol) – D-Panthenol improves hydration, reduces itching and inflammation of the skin. It also accelerates and improves the healing of blemishes and damaged skin.
Serums: Affordable High Quality Options
MooGoo Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Seed Oil (100% w/v)
The MooGoo Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Seed Oil $15.90 is a thick, rich oil, with a nutty, woody smell, absorbs surprisingly quickly, leaving the skin slightly dewy, but not shiny. It is designed to improve blemish-prone skin, scarring and stretch marks. That nutty scent comes from cold-pressed Tamanu oil, which is said to have fantastic wound healing and anti-inflammatory properties and suitable for even sensitive skin. With all the skincare products that I try, sometimes my skin yells at me to stop, and this is the oil I use when that happens.
MooGoo Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vitamin C) in Squalane
MooGoo Vitamin C in Squalane is one of the more pricy offerings from MooGoo but is definitely worth its $34.90 price point. It is a very powerful and well-formulated skincare product, that will yield great results for most skin types.
There’s been a lot of noise lately about Vitamin C in skincare. We all know that vitamin C is great for warding off colds, and boosting immunity, but what is the value in a topically applied product?
As an antioxidant, it right free radicals. This is a fancy way of saying it help protect skin from ageing processes. Also because it is acidic, this triggers the skin to heal itself, increasing the rate of collagen and elastin production, keeping skin plump and firm.
You’ll also notice that vitamin C serums are in either opaque or dark glass jars, because vitamin c breaks down with exposure to light or air, so it’s important to note that MooGoos has put this product in an opaque airless pump, to preserve the ingredients.
When applying this product, I noticed that it is scent free, with a slight smell a bit like play dough (but very very light) so it will be good for those of you who can’t use scented products.
MooGoo Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil
Waking up in the morning after using MooGoo Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Fruit Oil $24.50 is an absolute joy. Overnight any flakiness I had as a result of the changing season was much improved, and my skin felt very soft. It isn’t scented as such and looks a bright yellow colour when you pump out the tiny dot you need. MooGoo Rosehip Oil is cold-pressed and certified organic by the USDA. Rosa Canina Fruit Oil is packaged in an opaque airless pump, to protect the quality of the product. Rose Hip oil has been known for a long time as a moisturiser, exfoliator, reduces inflammation and helps with hyperpigmentation. To use, pump out the teensiest amount, press between your palms to warm the product and then press gently over the face.
Serum: Boutique Skincare Option
[QED] Skincare Wrinkle Rewind Repair Serum
[QED]’s signature product, Wrinkle Rewind Repair Serum $88 packs a powerful punch of botanical and anti-oxidant rich oils formulated to stimulate cellular turnover, boost elasticity, strengthen capillaries, diminish wrinkles and protect against free radicals. The only ingredients in this cocktail of skin nourishment are Camellia Oleifera Seed (Camellia) Oil, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit (Rosehip) Oil and Vitamin E (Tocopherol) so you aren’t getting any “fillers” or unnecessary irritants.
If you want a natural product that is going to improve your skin without any nasties, this is the one. You can choose from a range of scents, or select unscented if you prefer.
Ampoule: K-Beauty Option
d’Alba White Truffle Intensive Ampule
If your skin is looking dull, dark or patchy, with time, this ampoule helps to smooth out and even the skin tone for a brighter, younger and more radiant complexion.
Style Story
d’Alba Piedmont White Truffle Intensive Ampoule AUD $69.95 has a milky texture and colour, with a citrus scent. As with all the d’Alba range, Piedmont White Truffle Intensive Ampoule is called “gourmet for the skin” formulated to calm, plump and brighten the complexion. I found myself wondering how an ampoule was different from a serum. Which do I use first? Is it just a fancy name for a serum. Ampoules are said to be often more concentrated formulas that you use for a period of time, specifically formulated to target different skin concerns, while a serum can be a more general for a broad skin concern. That’s the K-Beauty theory, in case you were wondering.
Ampoules are designed to be used after cleansing and toning (and if you are a K-Beauty obsessive after using and Essence). Depending on the viscosity of the ampoule, use before or after serum. The idea is to go from thinnest to thickest, so as a rule, use an ampoule before a skin oil for example.
Moisturise
Cardinal skincare rule: always use a moisturiser. Despite the fact that your body lubricates itself (yes as ladies we know that well) with oil-secreting glands (sounds so romantic doesn’t it?) which does protect your largest organ, to a degree, we all need a little bit extra to stay youthful and glowing. The harsh sun, crazy Australian weather and the chemicals to which we are exposed, push the limits of what our skin can naturally cope with.
Apply your moisturiser while the skin is a little damp and press it into the skin, warming between pressed fingertips before. Don’t drag or rub, as this pulls at the skin.
Moisturise: Luxury Skincare Option
Ella Bache Eternal+ Replenishing Day Cream
Ella Bache Eternal+ Replenishing Day Cream $139 is a rich, luxurious textured cream is that gentle cares for mature skin. Olive acids, dill extracts and amino acids work together to support the rejuvenation process, promoting elasticity and firming skin. For added luxury, encapsulated diamond powder (yes, that’s right diamonds!) offers gentle exfoliation to reveal even tone and radiance. You only need a pearl-sized amount to keep your skin protected, hydrated during the day, while the formulation works its magic.
Ella Bache Eternal Beautifying Eye Cream
To complete your at-home isolation facial (if you are in the luxury options) apply the Ella Bache Eternal Beautifying Eye Cream $95 offers restructuring and beauty-enhancing treatment for the delicate eye area to diminish the visible signs of ageing: wrinkles, under-eye puffiness, dark circles and age marks. This last step should have you looking and feeling refreshed and glowing.
Ella Bache Virtual Consultations

Night Time Moisture: R+F Options
REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream
Wake up to firmer-looking skin and fewer visible wrinkles with REDEFINE™ Overnight Restorative Cream.
Moisturise: Affordable High-Quality Options
MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser
MooGoo followed their Skin Milk Udder Cream to create a product, MooGoo Full Cream Moisturiser $14.50, with a tad more hydration “a creamier cream” for those with dry skin issues.
This creamy moisturiser is full of natural oils to hydrate, moisturise and pamper dehydrated skin. They included milk protein for skin elasticity as well as apple cider vinegar with a natural pear and vanilla fragrance, which really feels special. If you have dry skin and you are on a budget, MooGoo’s goodness is worth every penny and more.
MooGoo SPF 40 Tinted Face Cream
A favourite of my 18-year-old daughter, MooGoo SPF 40 Tinted Face Cream $12.00 will smooth out your complexion with Broad Spectrum sun protection. Zinc Oxide is the ingredient used for sun protection which is a physical barrier, reflecting UVA ad UVB rays.
Containing natural moisturising oils for hydration, with minerals to add a natural skin coloured tint. Free of chemical UV filters, penetration enhancers, PEG’s or synthetic preservatives, you’re protected from the sun.
Because it is a zinc-based product, it’s a thick texture, so MooGoo recommends rubbing in with a quick smear, allowing the product to sit on the skin for 30 seconds to warm up, making it easier to spread. Don’t put near your eyes. Maybe wear industrial-strength sunnies to protect your peepers instead.
MooGoo Night Restoration Cream
If you are looking for a rich moisturiser to give your skin a boost overnight, pumped full of oils to nourish and increase moisture levels while you get your beauty sleep, you’ve found it here. With hyaluronic acid to retain moisture, MooGoo Night Cream $34.90 is worth sharing your bed with (My tip: drink water before you go to sleep, I’ve found that helps plump the skin by morning. This is only anecdotal, but I find it seems to help my skin). ECGC (Green Tea Extract) is a natural, powerful antioxidant compound also included, along with lactic acid to get rid of flakiness skin and stimulate collagen production.
MooGoo Anti-Ageing Face Cream
A naturally designed moisturiser for day or night, MooGoo Anti-Ageing Face Cream $34.90 helps to improve sun damage and preserve ageing skin. Vegan olive squalane emulated younger skin and high levels of antioxidants combat those nasty free radicals. Interestingly, the ingredient resveratrol, is included. This ingredient has only just come up on my radar, so I looked it up.
Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant found in grape skin, peanuts, berries, and dark chocolate. The powerful antioxidant has been shown to protect against damage caused by ultraviolet radiation and stress. Well, I’m sold.
You’ll also find oil-soluble Vitamin C easily which absorbs into skin and assists even more with sun damage
The cream is naturally preserved with hops extract and free of Parabens and Phenoxyethanol if that is a concern for you.
MooGoo Shea Sorbet Vanilla Butter Balm
If you have dry hands or feet, MooGoo Shea Sorbet Vanilla Butter Balm $12.50 was created to give extra attention to cracked and thirsty skin. Great for hands, heels, knees, elbows or just those annoying dry patches on the body that sometimes pop up. Smells like vanilla biscuits, so works well as a calorie-free lip balm as well.
Moisturise: K-Beauty Options
Commleaf Vita Rice Moisture Cream
Can I just comment on the packaging? Aside from the beautiful product itself, the Commleaf Vita rice Moisture Cream $42 comes in the most lovely box. I thought I heard angels singing when I opened it.
The silky cream delivers rich nutrition and hydration to lift the most tired, dull and lacklustre skin. Created on a base of fermented rice filtrate, this cream is rich in brightening ingredients, to make skin feel and look luxuriously soft and glowing.
d’Alba Piedmont Peptide No Sebum Repair Cream
d’Alba Piedmont Peptide No-Sebum Repair Cream $60.95 is formulated for combination and sensitive skin types. A multi-purpose facial cream Peptide No-Sebum Repair Cream is packed with peptides and amino acids to calm skin and regulate oil production, leaving skin matte and fresh.
I was so surprised when I first used this cream. The bottle isn’t a typical moisturiser tub or small airless pump. I thought I’d need a lot because the bottle looks so big (although it is actually only 50ml) but it’s also super concentrated. It was initially light and silky with a slippery spread, but sets to a soft matte finish, and the smell… oh lordy this stuff is beautiful, especially at night. If you love beautifully scented products you will love this. Oh, incidentally it is a dupe for the cult product Drunk Elephant’s Protini Cream.
Moisturise: Compounding Chemist Option
Elixir Ultra Day Cream
With a silky finish and a citrus burst of fragrance, Elixir Ultra Day Cream $49.90 is a great way to complete your day time at-home isolation facial. It is super concentrated and formulated with niacinamide and coenzyme Q10. Your body naturally coenzyme Q10 to combat free radicals in cells, which age the skin. As you get older, your body produced less of the stuff, making skin cells more vulnerable, which is why it is included in quality, science-based skincare products.
Elixir Retinol Night Cream
Elixir’s Retinol Night Cream $59.90 is the perfect, scientifically formulated night treatment for ageing skin. You need such a tiny amount, and it has a slightly lighter citrus scent than its day time partner, leaving skin a little sticky, which I personally don’t mind at night.
The formulation is rich in Vitamin A (retinol) which aids by boosting the amount of collagen in your body, plumping out skin, to help to minimise fine lines and wrinkles. Retinol can also improve skin tone and colour and reduces mottled patches. It does this with an exfoliating effect, making the top layer of the skin flaky, which is why you use it at night with a sunscreen moisturiser in the day. The effect is to increase cellular turnover, especially in sun-damaged skin.
Since trialling this night cream I have really noticed less pigmentation and my fine lines are fine.
Finishing your at-home isolation facial
It’s taken me a while to road-test all these incredible products, and even longer to collate the information, so I can give you options based upon your desired results, type of product and budget. I genuinely hope that you find some inspiration to take care of your skin during this very difficult period we are currently going through. Take time to enjoy the process of caring for your skin and nourish your soul and body with gentleness. Take each day at a time and try to find some joy, despite all the distressing news from around the world. Keep yourself safe, wash your hands (using the MooGoo Sorbet Balm may help at night after all the hand sanitiser and detergents we are using to prevent the spread of this virus).
Take a before and after
I find the best way to tell if skincare is helping is to take a before photo, then follow up in a month with an after photo. I won’t share mine with you as my hair looks like a birds nest and I’m wearing activewear and no makeup, but I saw a massive difference, despite chopping and changing through the month. I can feel the difference in my skin. It did also make me drink more water, and eat better, despite the first few weeks of isolation consisting of working 13 hour days, not showering as regularly, and generally eating my own bodyweight in dairy products. I’ve turned it around now, and starting to find my groove in this situation, so I hope you can as well.
Go forth and be gorgeous, stay safe and well,
Love
Di
