One of my favourite makeup looks of all time is the Kate Moss wedding makeup look. For my own wedding, I opted for simple fresh makeup, because it was fashionable and timeless. Kate Moss’ makeup for her own wedding was very dewy and her natural beauty shone through. My favourite wedding style, which formed the basis of my own bridal look on 2000, is that of the late Caroline Bissette-Kennedy. I loved the simple bias cut dress with natural, sheer makeup, and simple flowers.
I’ve included the Youtube video below, to show you how to get the look of Kate Moss’ wedding makeup. The lookwas created by celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury, who’s products I often feature.
Tops for fresh and flawless Kate Moss Wedding makeup
Brush up on your technique
The best tools give the best result. As the Charlotte Tilbury Brushes are made of animal fur (squirrel and goat), I have decided not to feature them. Instead, I will share a quality set from Nude By Nature which I love and use regularly.
Prepare Your Canvas
Charlotte always starts with a beautifully prepared canvas – for fresh and flawless skin. Charlotte recommends the Goddess Skin Glay Mask in advance.
Find Your Perfect Match
Match yourself up with Light Wonder Foundation is a long lasting base, with light reflective concealer for under eyes, pigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Airbrush Photo Finish
Finish by lightly dusting the Airbrush Flawless Finish down the t-zone. Charlotte’s Magic Cream hydrates and smooth the skin. Pay Wonderglow all over the face. Charlotte’s Fluorescent Core technology will make you glow.
Define the brows
Using the Charlotte Tilbury Brow Lift pencil in feather-like strokes and then use a spoolie and brush the colour through the hairs. Use an up and out motion
Classic Eye Define
Apply the Classic Eye Pencil in Audrey on the very edge of the upper lashline. Smooth out to outer corner for a soft mini wing look.
When you apply your shadow, sometimes, less is more. Charlotte Tibury’s The Sophisticate Luxury Palette contacts 4 earthy shades.
- Apply a wash of the Prime shade
- Next using and Eye Blender brush, apply Enhance shade in a “windscreen wiper motion back and forth across the eyelid” (Charlotte Tilbury)
- To define and smoke it up a touch using a Smudger brush in the Enhance shade along the outer lash line.
- Finish with 2 – 3 coats of Full Fat Lashes mascara. Take excess off the wand (on the neck of the container so you aren’t wasting product, and apply to each lash with the tip of the want to each lash. I like to wait for each coat to dry to apply the next coat for maximum vavoom.
Contour, Highlight and Blush
To enhance the bronze glow, use a contour brush and a powder bronzer, such as Filmstar Bronze and Glow to bring out the shape of the face. Suck in your cheeks and follow the hollow with the bronze shade, adding the highlight shade to your cheekbones, nose and Cupid’s bow.
Use the 80’s trick by sucking in your cheeks and apply the bronze shade in the hollow. Add highlights to the bits of your face you want to “lift” such as cheek bones, cupids bow, and middle of the forehead.
Give yourself that “just-been-kissed-blush” with Sex on Fire to the apples of your cheeks to complete the Kate Moss wedding makeup look.
Outline your lips with Lip Cheat: Pillow Talk (pictured below). then go over the outer edge with Iconic nude. Apply a wash of K.I.S.S.I.N.G: Penelope Pink to the whole lip, whilst dabbing a touch of Nude Kate in the centre of the mouth for a perfected nude-pink pout.
